Well, let the rumors begin.  Of course T-Jack isn't doing himself any favors by having an attitude when asked about his stance with the team.  Then word out of Mississippi is that Favre is covertly going to be asking for his release from the Jets only to sign with the Vikings.  Do I believe that?  I want to!  but I also know how things work and am very much a believer in "if something seems too good to be true, it usually is!"  Although, Chilly has been non-committal to any answer about his QB situation, that is also answering without answering.  I am not buying the "if it was your business, you would know."  Even though some of my fellow bloggers make good cases as to why T-Jack should return, I think his current attitude is

I think it speaks volumes for what the mentality must have been on the Zona bench after they scored, that just 2 days after their D-Coordinator was canned.  If Zona could have held at the end.....(blown coverage on Holmes catch), Zona would be celebrating.  But I am not a "what if" guy......Rothlisberger showed why he gets the big bucks!  However I will end by saying this; To anyone that is being honest with themselves, there was a clip by the Steelers on the Harrison
run back just before the half, but some would reply to that by saying Fitzgerald went out of bounds and came back in?  Anyone that knows the rule book will know that only would apply if it were in debate with him possessing the ball.  He was forced out and came back to make a tackle.&n

Now that the infamous Favre has allegedly put his name back on the retirement list, let the rumor mills begin.  We all know "some" will start the unwelcomed rumors that Brett is getting the itch, whenever or if he ever does get it again.  From this sports blogging fans persective, I don't think the itch will return.  Seriously, I think we all know Favre's days are done when it comes to playing at the highest level possible for his position.  I realize he had a torn bicep tendon during the last 4-5 games which obviously affected the velocity on this throws.  That injury really won't heal completely without surgery, accordingly to a number of sources.  Besides, as the Jets approached the end of the year this past season, I think anyone that is objective will concede he didn't have the same vigor or enthusiasm Favre fans are used to.  There has also been chatter of whether Favre will play the situation in order to get released by the Jets in order to sign with the Purple Nation?  To be perfectly candid, I think that would knock any progress the Vikes have made to date back a year or even two.  The word now is that Jeff Garcia is an option.  That I can actually see happening.  Garcia has the experience, pedigree and toughness to take the Purple Nation to the promised land.  He has the physical toughness that the Purple want to see as well (bloody nose he played with in the 2nd to the last game for the Buc's this past season).

While A-Rod has allegedly came clean, this Twin's fan thinks the Yankee's are almost under too much pressure to win now.  If they struggle & are not in 1st place by at least the all star break, public scrutiny will increase to an almost unbearable level.  I think this fact gives a number of mid market teams a real opportunity to crank it up and take the world by storm and give the upcoming Baseball season a real story of excitement and passion for the fans.  As far as "Manny" goes, this writer hopes the Doders hold tough.  A customer was in my store the other day and made a statement with real teeth in it.  The Dodgers should make Manny a 3 yr offer for 50 mil & a take it or leave it scenario.  Other MLB teams have stated they aren't interest

This Purple Crew fan/blogger just read on ESPN.com that reports say the Vikes are in the process of completing a trade for Sage Rosenfels of the Texans?  If this isn't true, please disregard and I will thank my lucky stars.  If this is true and does happen, I will lose faith in Spielman, Childress, and company until there is a regime change.  Rosenfel?  What happened to (1) #5 (McNabb) that sent a clear signal with his delaying signing an extension until he knows their plan for winning, short term! he hasn't bought what the Eagles are selling.  (2) Cassel in NE is not a signed sealed deal with him being a back up.  Also, (3) paramount there is Garcia which is an awesome two year plan, until a long term plan is achieved.  BUT no!  Rosenfels.....??  Please tell me it isn't so Purple Crew brass!  I am sorry, but if this becomes reality, a lot of loyal and patient fans are going to bail on the 2009 season.  Sage would have to play out of his gord to get fans to buy into it.  I think back to the game last season where he pretty much gave a game away to the opposition single handed.  Please Purple Brass, tell me it ain't so!!
