A potentially long 2009 for Purple Pride followers
Not sure if my followers have come across this tid bit of information, but per Siruis Satellite NFL Radio, Chilly is allegedly committing to a QB on staff for '09. I own a novelty sports store that I closed on Sunday's to have a day off and so that I could pay attention to the Purple come the gridiron season. I am now considering opening it up and becoming much more active in knowing my local Idaho hockey team. While I will wear my Purple attire out of loyalty, I am not sure I can substantiate devoting 3 hours our of whatever day they might pla, just to be disappointed from one week to the next. I am sorry, and while I don't mean to step on T-Jack when his son is having challenges, it is quite obvious, if we are being honest and objective, that he is not an NFL caliber "STARTING" QB. He very well could be a back up, however the consistency needed he can't produce. I am hoping and praying that either Matt Cassell (not likely), DMac (doubt it), or Derek Anderson of Cleveland (possibility) winds up in WinterPark via one of Chilly's covert deals. He very seldom says anything to the media that could throw the media a bone, but I am also hoping in this case he IS in fact being covert about it. That would be a blessing in disguise. His track record of playing misdirection with the media is proven and us Purple fans can only hope that is what's going on here. If T-Jack stays Chilly's last year as a head coach will be '09, cuz it simply won't happen. I would love to be wrong, however most national media outlets agree here. Sorry T-Jack, but facts and stats, are facts and stats!
