Bevell knows best?

Per a press release earlier today via Off Coordinator Darrell Bevell, T-Jack will continue to start against the Atlanta Falcons.  Now, it is speculated that Senor Gus is healthy enough to play.  I think it is obvious to all of us loyal Purple fans that T-Jack has earned the chance to perform the way he has in the past two games for a 3rd.  If T-Jack can prove to be as consistent and effective moving forward, it is also believed that he just might be working his way BACK into the starting role.  For us Viking faithful, it will be perfect timing.  Now, let's take this a step further, "if" T-Jack is able to also come out of this weekend with a win, then it would be virtually impossible for the coaching brass to unseat him for Ole Gus.  Although he (Gus) has brought stability to the Purple Crew and weathered the storm as far as this season turning out like last.  Right now, that is a non-event provided the Purple make the playoffs.  With the heat our D-Front can and will bring against Mr. Ryan he is going to have trouble sitting back and passing as he has recently to other teams.  Our corners are also playing better on the opposite side of Antoine W.  Darren Sharper is coming very VERY due for a big game of pick's.  Hopefully all this will come to reality this Sunday.  It should also be noted that D.Bev was very careful not to play into the media's hands when they began to ask those pathetic questions that they usually do.  Asking whether or not Gus is now back up is a question that should be directed to Childress.  Providing the Purple bring what they should to the game field, there should be no reason they don't perform well.

  1. I agree with starting T-Jack over Rot!  Sunday's late-afternoon contest could be a real barn-burner, as Action Jackson will get the offense psyched up just because he's starting, while the Falcons will be playing for their wild-card lives.  This is what late-December football is all about!
