Importance of Allen
The latest updates provided indicate the valuable Jared Allen may not play tomorrow in AZ. Although we all know his resiliency, it would be a major blow for him NOT to play. His presence alone would make it so Warner wouldn't be able to sit back in that pocket and pick the Purple secondary apart. In many fans and analysts estimation, if Warner is able to sit in the pocket with even good protection, it will be a long LONG day for the Purple's secondary. If we can get any type of pass rush and make him move around and throw on the run, that is when Warner becomes simply an average player. When allowed to sit in the pocket and throw he becomes a surgeon of secondaries. J.Allen would make it utterly impossible for him to take his time. It is widely viewed that without Allen, the Vikes are in trouble in AZ. I do not believe that, however it becomes even more critical for A.P. to get off. The more A.P. gets going the less the AZ O is on the field. Let's just pray J. Allen plays and this is all a mute point. Go Purple.....:o)
