Detroit Woes, Purple Gain
While the NFL now has a woeful team posting a 0-14 record (Detroit), it also has a team with Purple characteristics that is up and coming. Jared Allen was also a key attribute to lighting a fire under our team when he was allegedly going after the rookie that "cut" him. When Allen came out in the 2nd half with a bumb knee and still pulled off 2 more sacks (note to Marion Barber: Jerry has a point, sir!), it is obvious to any objective Vikes fan that the team got a jolt from Allen's fiery mood. Not only did that win bolster the Vikes stock through the league, but finally the Purple crew beat someone they were supposed to beat although they did make it more interesting than I would like. (Thanks Gus for those two picks!). All Vikes fans should take note at the odds for the MN-AZ game next week and the prognasticators weren't just giving it to AZ because lately the Purple have been representing well and showing up on the road the same way they usually do at home. After that, we have those NY Giants. If it were in NY I would be worried, however it is at our place and most likely the NY G-Men won't need the game. That bodes well for the Purple crew. If the Vikes somehow DO NOT get into the playoffs, I will be wearing my purple under my clothes, cuz that will be downright shameful. Somehow, I don't think that will be the case and I will be showing my purple pride!
