Well, here we go, I know we have all been waiting to talk about this one. So Michael Vick former NFL poster boy and Atlanta Falcons QB is now sentenced to 23 months in jail. We all know why, because he killed or had dogs killed that didn't kill or did kill each other. Bottom line, it was because he killed dogs.
I have sooooo many issues with this, I don't even know were to start. The first thing that comes to mind is: REALLY? All this over killing dogs? Are you kidding me???? I know, I know, how could I be so cruel? What a heartless bastard am I? You know what, during the average NFL game broadcast I see countless commercials for Beer, Hamburgers, Fast food, Anti Depressant drugs, Impotence pills, cars and oil companies. All of them kill more human beings and animals then Michael Vick could choke Pitbulls. But of course that is different and totally not the same. Well, I have another word for it: Hypocrisy!
Also, during the Monday Night Football match between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcon owner Arthur Blank when asked if Michael Vick could play in the NFL again said: "If he doesn't eat too much fried chicken..." WHAT, did I hear that right??? Is that okay? I don't think so! Do I think chicken tastes good? Sure! Do I think black people are crazy about eating chicken? I think EVERYBODY is because it's the only meat that tastes good! That was a racist statement by old, no matter what anybody says!
Anyways, I could go on for hours about this.
I think:
A. To throw Michael Vick in jail for 23 months for Dog fighting is ridiculous. Tell him to not do it anymore, have him donate one years salary to PETA and let the guy play ball.
B. This is about race, as always.

I can't say I agree with your conclusion that it's all about race. This guy killed dogs, and animal lovers come from all races.
In any event, I do agree with you, though, what about letting him play and donating his entire salary to the SPCA? He makes about 20 million per year, right? That would help more animals then him sitting in jail. But I'm not sure the public could stand for someone getting out of jail because they were rich.
