Ben Noble grew up in Minneapolis reading the sports page religiously, then spent four years at the sports section of the Minneapolis StarTribune. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, he has contributed to numerous publications across the country. His life was changed forever on June 15, 1989 when the Timberwolves drafted Rick Mahorn with the second overall pick of that year's expansion draft.
